Who is the leader and person you want to be?

Some leaders are like a conductor of an orchestra, bringing together diverse talents, harmonizing different voices and instruments, and creating a symphony of collaboration and achievement. Other leaders are like a captain of a ship, steering the course, making tough decisions, and ensuring the safety and success of the entire crew during turbulent waters. Yet other leaders are like a compass or a lighthouse or a bridge or a multitude of other metaphors.

 

The real question is who is the leader that you want to be and who is the person you need to be, to authentically be that leader?

 

What has coaching got to do with it?

I can help you develop your answer to the leader and person you want to be and I can help you be at your best more of the time. Coaching is not about “fixing” or changing your spots – it’s about supporting you in becoming more fully you.

Put another way: there are many debates as to whether leaders are born or made. However, I believe leaders mature! Helping you become more fully you is a process of maturing that will enable you to become the person and leader you want to be.

What can you expect if you decide to proceed?

  • Intake conversation: our first conversation aims at getting to know each other a little to see how we might work together and exploring the notion of who you want to be as a person and leader. If the fit feels right for both of us, I will design a coaching programme that is customised to achieve your needs 

  • Offer conversation: at our second session, I will offer the coaching programme to you. We will explore the duration of the programme, the number and frequency of our sessions, the purpose of the conversations, our respective roles, and the cost. I answer any questions you might have. 

  • You make a decision: At this stage, you will have all the information you need for you to decide whether this is for you or not. If you decide not to proceed, you are free to walk away without having incurred any costs. I must warn you though: very few people walk away at this point!
